When trying to activate the VPN in the Settings menu of 18.4 beta (22E5200s) an error message pops up: ”The connection failed due to an irrecoverable error” The VPN works as expected with iOS and iPadOS 18.3.1 (22D72) and earlier releases.
L2TP VPN fails in iOS and iPadOS 18.4 beta
Same here other VPN Connections do work, just L2TP fails

Hi i hoped that 18.4 beta 2 solve the issue but it is still there This is really a critical issue because I cannot anymore connect to my home when I am absent. is there any fix scheduled ? Thanks phil
cannot use L2TP VPN after install 18.4 beta 2 either. it is critical issue that cannot connect to my office. and only could use my other device with is not lower OS. please fix.

Even with 18.4 beta 3, it’s still no good. Checking the VPN server logs, it seems that the connection attempt is made, but it disconnects itself.
