Our engineering teams need to investigate this issue, as resolution may involve changes to Apple's software. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could open a bug report and post the FB number here once you do. Bug Reporting: How and Why? has tips on creating your bug report.

Have a 2025 Honda CR-V hybrid touring with the Bose speaker system…iPhone 15 running iOS 18.1. Messages won’t pop up anymore on the infotainment screen when another app is running, like Sirius. The messages and all Siri things only play through the front speaker in the dash behind the infotainment screen, and Siri causes all other audio to stop abruptly while listening/speaking.

Same for a Sony XAV-AX5550D after market audio unit supporting CarPlay. When connected by USB, charging works, but CarPlay doesn't come up as before. Using iOS 18.2 public beta and an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

I am experiencing the same CarPlay issue on a 2022 Ford Escape immediately after upgrading to IPhone 16 pro OS18, where all was fully functioning on my former IPhone 13.

in settings-CarPlay no vehicles are listed as available. I have since updated the car’s Synch version to the most recent build with no change in behavior.

(FIXED)

Hello. I have a Chevy Equinox 2019, IPhone 14 Pro Max and have had CarPlay issues after the IOS 18.1 update. My CarPlay would run up to a couple of mins or until I begin pressing buttons. After, it will freeze, go to black screen then reset my radio, over and over!

The (FIX) for me was updating to the IOS 18.2 Beta version. This is the link. https://beta.apple.com/

It’s an easy process to sign up with the Apple beta testing program and they’ll unlock IOS 18.2 update on your device to download.

I hope this works for you all.

Owner of a 2019 Chevy Camaro here. Carplay was working fantastically, and then I decided to update to IOS18. I thought it was no biggie, just another update. Oh, was I wrong. The whole infotainment system freezes up; the screen turns black for a couple of seconds, reboots, and shows the logo as if you were entering the vehicle. It then reconnects to carplay, just to do the same thing, not even a minute later. Super frustrating. I called my local Chevy dealership, who said they could do nothing about it, then spent over an hour on the phone with Apple, who told me to wait till Chevy had an update. I have an 8-hour road trip in less than a month and need carplay for directions + music. It's incredibly frustrating all around, and I haven't gotten any clear answers from either party.

2018 F150 with Sync 3 Apple CarPlay stopped working after the update. i have reset my phone and did a master reset on my Factory radio it’s still not workin. can we get an answer from Apple on this?
