I've noticed that when using the Test action in an Xcode Cloud workflow, the xcodebuild command includes COMPILER_INDEX_STORE_ENABLE=NO while performing build-for-testing.
This disables the index store, which is required by tools like Periphery to analyze unused code. Without indexing, Periphery triggers a fresh build internally, resulting in a significant increase in CI build time.
Is there any way to enable indexing (COMPILER_INDEX_STORE_ENABLE=YES) on Xcode Cloud?
Or alternatively, is there a recommended workaround to generate and access the index store?
Any help is appreciated.

I’m using Developer iOS app to watch WWDC session videos. i notice it doesn’t record a video as watched after I watched it and even manual marking it using Mark as Watch has no effect.
I remember the issue started several years ago because some old WWDC videos were marked watches.

I have downloaded the new Xcode beta, signed in with my ChatGPT account yet there is still no model available for me to select.
I have reinstalled Xcode, logged in and out of the ChatGPT integration a dozen times, pressed every single button, but nothing seems to make a model appear? Am I stupid or am I missing something?

Hi everyone,
We’re testing the new iOS 26 capability, Performing Fast Account Creation with Passkeys, using the sample project provided here: Performing Fast Account Creation with Passkeys.
When running the project on the iOS 26 simulator and tapping the "Sign Up" button, we encounter the following error:
The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError error 1010.)
From the header file, this error is described as:
/// ASAuthorizationError.h
/// This error signals that the device is not currently set up to create passkeys.
ASAuthorizationErrorDeviceNotConfiguredForPasskeyCreation AS_API_AVAILABLE(ios(19.0), macos(16.0), visionos(3.0)) = 1010,
We’ve tested this on both Xcode 26 Beta 1 and Beta 2, and the error persists on the simulator in both versions.
However, when testing on a physical iOS 26 device, everything works as expected, just like in the WWDC demo.
Could this issue be related to missing simulator settings? Or is it a potential bug in the simulator? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
I was developing an app using a certain bundle ID, but then had to delete it (and I also removed the app ID Identifier)
My question is, can I make a new app with the exact same bundle ID as I was using on the removed one? Since the old app never went into production I don't see why that would be a problem
Hi,
I am using Xcode 16.4, and my test device is Iphone 16 pro max.
Everything was working fine until today when I get an error that I cannot install the app on the device.
The error I get is:
Failed to verify code signature of /var/installd/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installd.staging/temp.cRjyg7/extracted/[myapp].app : 0xe8008015 (A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found.)
Please ensure sure that your app is signed by a valid provisioning profile.
Creating a new project and installing it to the mobile works fine.
Please can someone from Apple or the community respond? there are many posts with this error but none were solved.
Troubleshooting attempts included:
Resetting all certificates.
delete the app from the device
unpairing device
codesigning via cli
reloading older git code commit
Nothing is working.
thanks
Hello,
I recently created a new Apple Developer account and I'm trying to purchase the Developer Program, but I'm running into a payment issue.
Every time I attempt to make the payment, I receive the following error:
"The payment you want to make with your card could not be approved."
Here is what I have tried:
I used multiple cards (Visa and MasterCard) from different Turkish banks.
All cards are active, have sufficient balance, and are open to international payments.
I confirmed with my banks that there are no issues on their side.
Despite all of this, the payment still fails.
Additionally, I noticed that my Developer account shows a "Pending" status in the dashboard. There is no further explanation about this status, and I am unsure whether any additional verification is required.
I also contacted Apple Support via email, but I haven’t received a response yet.
I would like to ask a few additional questions for clarification:
After successfully purchasing the Developer Program, how long does it take for the account to become fully active?
Once the account is activated, how long does app review and publishing usually take?
Is this kind of delay and unclear messaging common with Apple? Or am I experiencing an exceptional case?
Any insight or similar experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards,
Harun Altaş

We're seeing a pretty big problem with 15.x hosts and using SSH to execute builds.
Yet this works just fine in the terminal over VNC.
We see similar limitations with SSH and Virtualization too. They look related, but don't know.
Xcode 16.4
15.4.1 Host OS
Mac Mini M1.
Let me know what else is needed.

Hello,
I've been added as an "App Manager" to a team of my company to which the app I'm developing belongs. I've received the invite e-mail, done all required step. On the websites (Apple Developer and App Store Connect), everything to be fine: I properly appear as a member of the team, I see the application, I can edit it.
However, when I log in in Xcode with that account, I only see the "Personal team". Therefore, I got the error "Failed Registering Bundle Identifier" (which makes sense since the app belongs to the team of my company, not to my Personal team).
Since the Apple ID I used is my personal Apple ID (which happens to be my personal email address), and I already done some stuff with it, I feared that there was a problem with this particular Apple ID. Therefore, we tried
to add me to the team with my professional email address. This time, we added this address as a Developer in the Team. But still the same problem: When I tried to log in in Xcode with that 2nd address, I still only see the Personal team. Note that professional email address has never been used on any Apple product before.
I also tried to log out / log in multiple times, restarting XCode, and still the same problem.
What are we missing? How can I be able to select the right team in Xcode?

Dear all,
For an important client, we are currently experiencing issues related to performance IOS build using Xcode Cloud.
More in detail, their build process is taking approximately 30 minutes to complete at the moment, whereas the same build executed locally on a Mac machine takes around 7 minutes.
This significant difference in build times is causing concerns and slowing down the development work. We would appreciate your support in identifying possible causes and exploring different ways to improve the actual situation (ex if it is possible to increase the Cloud machine calculation power).
Could you please advise us on how we might proceed to analyze and potentially optimize the build times on Xcode Cloud? What kind of processors are used?
Any guidance, best practices, or diagnostic steps you can suggest would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to your support.

Hi,
I have an installer package that runs a postinstall script. The script can take a long time to complete, as one thing it does is copy about 10-30 GB of files using the rsync tool.
We noticed on macOS 15 that the installer would fail almost exactly 10 minutes after it started. Looking in the /var/log/install.log, I see a message like this:
2025-07-01 12:54:32-07 Work-M1 package_script_service[21562]: PackageKit: Terminating PKInstallTask(pid:21573). Task has exceeded its 600 seconds of runtime.
This does not happen in my testing on macOS 12 (Monterey)
I have a few questions about this:
A) Is this documented, and which OS introduced this?
B) Is there a way a developer can extend or disable the time limit via a setting in the installer package. Or if not, is there a way end end user can disable it temporarily on their system?
Thanks, Andrew

Hi everyone,
My Apple Developer Program subscription was supposed to renew last month, but the payment failed. Surprisingly, the subscription didn’t expire right away, I got an extra month.
I’ve now tried updating the payment method using multiple credit/debit cards (including my own and my dad’s), all of which are working perfectly elsewhere but the payment continues to fail.
In the Developer app on macOS, I don’t see any option to manually renew the subscription (see attached screenshot).
I also noticed that the street address on my developer account doesn’t match the billing address of the card I’m using. Could this be the cause of the issue?
If automatic renewal fails, is there a manual payment method available?
I’ve already contacted Apple Support, but the solutions they suggested haven’t worked. With my subscription now set to expire in just 3 days, I’m running out of time and options.
If there's any way to manually pay or resolve this, I would really appreciate it. I’m in a desperate situation and need to renew to keep my app updates live.
Thanks in advance!
Under macOS 26 and iPadOS, the Help menu in many cases has a menu item for "App Help". This item has the following icon:
I need to use this in my own app. I am unable to find this icon in SF Symbols 7 beta. I've scanned all of the icons under "What's New". I've searched for "help", "light", and "bulb" and this icon does not appear.
Does anyone know if it's even a new SF Symbol? Or does anyone know of a way to use this icon?
For a large / older iOS app project, we have noticed the the view hierarchy debugger works fine for our UIKit screens, but runs into the following crasher whenever we try to launch the view hierarchy debugger on a UIHostingVC screen with SwiftUI content:
Unable to capture the view hierarchy "AppName" encountered an unexpected error when processing the request for a view hierarchy snapshot.
--
The operation couldn’t be completed. Log Title: Data source expression execution failure.
Log Details: error evaluating expression “(BOOL)[[(Class)objc_getClass("DebugHierarchyTargetHub") sharedHub] performRequestInPlaceWithRequestInBase64:@"..."]”: error: Execution was interrupted, reason: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code=2, address=0x16b23bff8).
Has anyone successfully resolved the underlying issue in this crasher? Tried all the typical recommendations for a clean build, clear derived data, use the "Debug -> View Debugging" menu - all with no resolution.

Thanks
There seems to be some kind of problem with the forum software incorrectly redacting certain words.
It's even censoring Apple employees when they use the word "s i g n a l" in this post, which is now titled, "iOS Network ****** Strength"
So, no, Apple employees are not complaining about iOS Network strength.

I selected "Individual / Sole Proprietor" during enrollment, but I’m being redirected to an organization agreement with the message:

Why is this happening, and how can I restart enrollment properly as an individual?

We are using apple pay on the Web. But we are getting this error as below while creating the session from our API -
{"error": "Failed to create Apple Pay session: 400 Bad Request: [{

"statusCode": "400"
}]"}
====================================================
Please use the following Curl request to generate the error.
curl --location 'https://applepay-dev.ippay.com/api/v2/payment/alternatepay/session/create'
--header 'Content-Type: application/json'
--header 'Accept: /'
--header 'Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin'
--header 'Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.9'
--header 'Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate, br'
--header 'Sec-Fetch-Mode: cors'
--header 'Host: applepay-dev.ippay.com'

--header 'Connection: keep-alive'
--header 'Sec-Fetch-Dest: empty'
--data '{"validationUrl":"https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/startSession"}'
Configuration steps we followed -
A. Created Merchant ID
B. Created payment processing and Merchant Identity certificate
C. Did domain association mapping for the merchant
C. Created domain name and TLS SSL for the server from where we are calling the API
Please advise.

Does anyone know where I can get to the API diffs for iOS 18 -> iOS 26?
